I have an '01. My trans did what you're talking about. I took it to a transmission shop. They replaced the front seal. They told me it was a common problem with these transmissions. I have towed many times since the replacement, it has not leaked at all since. Cost me about $500.

Hope that gives you something to ask about.

$500? the seal usually is around $10. if you can drop the trans yourself, you can replace it very easily!
