Help diagnose noise

Ok so as long as I have owned my truck there has been a "grinding" noise if you let the clutch out with not enough throttle. Like I said it has always done it and I am just trying to figure out what it could be so I can get it fixed. I plan on replacing the clutch here soon with a new flywheel and the works. Hopefully it will fix it. Thanks in advance for any possible help.

I have been doing some research, would this be a failing dual mass flywheel??

We don't have dual mass flywheels...I think they quit using those on the OBS with ZF5.

If it is only when engaging the clutch it could be a throwout bearing I suppose.

You sure it isn't just gear rollover?

Sorry, apparently I'm dumb. What is gear rollover?
