I am having the same issue with my 99 4X4 7.3.It will shift into overdrive too soon and drop the rpm down and bog on me. It also bleeds off all my boost pressure because of the sudden drop in rpm. If someone can help with this issue, would be greatly appreciated.

Did you ever figure out why your trans shifts into overdrive too soon?
I am waiting for some custom tunes from DP Tuner to see if they will correct the issue.

Follow-up on this issue.

I installed my custom tunes from DP Tuner and it made a huge difference in the shift patterns of my trans.

Could just be normal shifting strategy?
What RPMs and accel pedal % are you pushing? Just saying it shifts too soon is very vague.
