6 speed no gears....

Hi Im new.

I just purchased a 99 6 speed with the following problem. You can start it, and with it running you can put it in any gear you want and it wont move. Clutch / no clutch it doesnt matter.

Has another had this problem before? I have never even heard of it.

I will be pulling the trans ASAP but i figured I would ask around first

Id say that the clutch is shot. I toasted the clutch in my dads truck when I was a kid and it did the same exact thing.

The chance that the actual gears are all gone is slim to none. Good nes is its a fairly quick and inexpensive fix.

Great, Thanks for the responses. I was pretty sure that was the problem, but just wanted some opinions. Ill be ordering a Valair clutch today I think. (SB too much $ for me)

if the flywheel has any signs of getting hot you should think about getting it machined or replace it, or you will get chatter on engagement.
