4r100 stalls

my truck stalls every time i put it in reverse and when i come to stop once in a while it will stall. not quite sure whats going on here. any one have any ideas?

thats what im thinking. im gonna try replacin the pump an tc. but i wanted to see if any one else had any ideas first.

you can unhook the tc wire, see if it stops it.

where is the tc wire

the plug for the shift solenoids it is on the rear passenger side of the transmission unplug it and try that .. i am having kinda the same problem my truck dies anytime i put it in a forward gear but reverse it is fine i unplug the solenoid pack and it still does it ..

i believe bob guzzle from dieselorings.com has a write up on making a tc lock up switch to lock the converter when u want to. You can cut the wire and have i not lock. Its a ground wire. when grounded the tc stays locked.
