Park problem

Went to park my truck, stopped in a parking spot, put it in park, started to hop out of the truck and it rolled back, and the parking pawl clicked like 3 times, and then it locked in.. Kinda scared the crap outta me, because i was half out of the truck, and its done it a couple times.. and im starting to wonder if my cable is stretched a bit, and needs adjusted so when i throw it into park it engages all the way? is there a way to adjust it or any other sugguestions? i think the PO of the truck drove with his hand on the shifter, because in drive the arrow is almost past D, and also sometimes when getting back in and starting it, i have to tap the gearshifter to activate the microswitch in there so it will start. Anyone have any ideas?

i'm having the exact same problem, not sure if it has anything to do with the column shifter, or some linkage or cable down under
