Pulling Tranny right now.. Does the startes bolts go through tranny case???

I am pulling my tranny to replace my converter, I pulled all the bell housing bolts but can't seem to break it lose. Do the starter bolts go through the tranny case? I pulled the bottem starter bolt and it seems short
Any help would be great

six bolts through the bell and you dont need to pull the starter

It's real common for the dowel pins to stick in the trans case. Alot of wiggling to get it loose.

Changed the converter and it will still not lock up

Do y'all know where the TC solenoid is???

Is the computer commanding tc on. If it's not , you can change all the parts you want and it still won't lock up.

Look up the lock up switch, you can lock it up at idle and stall the truck.

I want to recap. My converter would not lock up, It gradually went out until it would not lock up. So i replaced the converter. It would still not lock up on the way home (40 mile) Today I unprogrammed back to stock, Drove 3 miles, Programmed back to FAST and the converter locked up at 46mph then 5 seconds later unlocked and stayed unlocked.
Pulled P0743 P0603 P0741.
