Intermittent 4R100 issues

I have an '02 F-350 and sometimes the OD light blinks and it feels like it is slipping when in drive. I drop it in to 1st get, some momentum and shift into 2nd but it does not want to shift until I put it into drive. this only happens sometimes. A couple of days ago I drove it to and from the store and there was no issue. A little while later I went back to the store and it was doing it. It typically happens between driving it but has happened a couple of times while driving. For example; starting out the OD light flashes and then may stop. On one occasion I dropped it into 1st and then to 2nd, it didn't shift, I forgot to shift into drive but it sifted hard and the light went off and it was acting fine.

I took it to a tranny shop and described the issue and how it is intermittent and they could not duplicate the issue nor could they pull up any codes.

I am thinking maybe the solenoid but I am not sure. I have to take it back to the same shop tomorrow so they can pull the pan and check it out further.

Any Ideas?
