Years of failure prone shift forks?

Are they failure prone in all years, or just a certain year segment?

Still having a bad time diagnosing my clutch issue.

To date:

Replaced slave cylinder (was leaking internally)

Replaced non-existent clutch pedal bushing with OEM part.

Pulled master out and checked it for leaks (great condition, no leaks)

Pulled entire assy from truck and bench bled profusely.

Short of pulling the trans, I'm stumped.

Clutch is OEM to my knowledge, does squeak from time to time, never ever slips, no pulsating pedal. 156K miles.

Clutch is not disengaging fully, hard to shift into gear at times, other times shifts like a dream. Once rolling, unless at low RPM's its usually pretty ****ty to upshift and will NOT downshift.

This is a recent occurance, if this problem is not solved by Weds, I'm gonna pull the trans and see what lies inside.

If the clutch is the issue, what is the cheapest one available?
