4wd trans swappable with a 2wd?

I have a 2001 CC 4wd single wheel. Second gear is just about totally gone in the transmission as its hard to shift into it without grinding. You have to shift it real slow or double clutch it so I think it is the syncronizers for that gear.
We have a brand new Jasper trans sitting in the garage for one of our work trucks but it is for a 2wd. Can I use it in my truck and what is involved with changing it to match up to the transfer case? Any help or advice would be Greatly appreciated.

you cant bolt transfer case to a 2nd trans
