Auto?

hey guys, so the guy I help out wants to swap his 5 speed for an auto and I have a few questions

auto?
-well I was wondering which auto is better as a stock swap, the E40D or 4R100?
-can the 4R100 be used on a OBS
-would it be better to get a built trans even tho he is only using it as a fishing/camping truck and doesn't plan to tow a trailer?

or

-is there a way to make the clutch master cylinder on these trucks easier to push, the main reasons he wants to do the swap is the fact his wife and daughter most likely will drive the truck and he doesn't want the extra cost of replacing the clutch really

The 4r100 is stronger but requires more computer to run that we dont have. If you wanted to go that route you can get an e4odHD that comes with all 4r100 internals, they are a stout transmission to say the least.

I dont know of a way to make the clutch easier on these trucks, its just kind of the nature of the beast with them

You can but its tricky to do, See a super duty computer will run them but then you have to reflash it to run single shot injectors

Any ford garage can get them, Even most trans shops can build them easily, All they are really is an e4od with 4r100 front drum, pump, shafts, and gears. So really having any e4od built into one is simple. Where abouts are you located at?
