No TC lockup? whats the deal?
I hooked up the purp/ylw stripe (#6 on grey connector) to a on/off switch with a built in LED. Stardted up the truck, put it in drive and flipped the switch. The LED lit up but it should have killed the truck right? nothing happened. I tried going off the #4 wire on the tranny harness and same thing, LED lights up, no killing the motor. Now I am perplexed!?!? truck has a brand new TC and it locks like normal in OD. not sure what i did wrong

A switch with a built in LED is probably not going to work correctly. That kind of switch usually has a permanent ground and 12v connection and supplies 12v out when switched on. You need to supply a ground connection to the TC.
Try disconnecting the TC wire from the switch and grounding the wire while in drive with the motor running and your foot on the brake. |
