tq runnin low on torq?

when ever iam towing my rockcrawler to an event fly down the interstate the tranny is runnin round 160* but soon as i pull of the hiway and start down the back roads the tranny gets up 180* or better i put an extra cooler on but it dosent help. can someone give me an idea wut the problems is? thnaks

No problem. Its gonna get hotter if you go slower. Does it get over 200?

iam sure it would if the trip on back road was longer,rekon the torque converter lockup swith would help in this situation?
