Overdrive switch

Ok, so my overdrive switch has been broken for the past year or so, and i'm finally getting the urge to get it fixed. the light doesnt come on at all on the switch. I'm wondering where i should start on diagnosing the problem? is there a fuse i should be looking for?

Odds are that the wires in the column are broken or chafed. I just replaced my gear selector assembly last week for $58 from the dealer. I suggest that when you get the plastics off the column, you look at the wires coming from the gear selector. Look real close because sometimes it is hard to see.
