BTS transmission?

I'm looking into upgrading my transmission and torque converter and I heard BTS is good, first if someone could help, what does BTS stand for and what's the website, I have a feeling my tranny's not going to last to long now that I put a chip on, plus 210,000 miles on the original tranny is gambeling with luck

Agh nice, thanks a lot, does anyone know how much a 4R100 with converter would run from BTS I don't see a price list on the website. Just looking for a general price range

OK read my thread on local rebuilders and what it took to find a decent one for a stock rebuild .......and then you will see why I wish I had talked to Brian at BTS I think john woods is good as well suncoast has a reputation for vioding warranties for BS reasons so I have read ....

Read it and make up your own mind ....but honestly I wish I had gone with BTS in the first place I have a good stock rebuild but I know eventually with my DPTUNER and The Single Shot Injectors I plan on installing soon it will only take so much abuse ...maybe good for a few years but I want a BTS under me so I can just forget about it and have the peace of mind of a real warranty and rock solid performance!

Call Brian and talk to him express your concerns and ask why it's 4300 installed ...the torque converter alone is worth 1000.00 then you add the other parts and machine work and you see what your 4300.00 pays for ! try and build one yourself and see what it costs I did and quit after the price for parts alone got into the 3000.00 range just not worth it !

let the pro's do what they do !

I have read your thread. Because you had a problem with your tranny doesn't mean that no one else can build one to last. You don't have a BTS in your truck?

John Woods is supposed to have a really good transmission as well. Here is one of his entry level upgrades from Riffraff for a little cheaper.

Oh I'm not complaining about the price, I have already contacted BTS and I think I'm going to go for it later on. Need to do the longbed megacab conversion on my truck first. But I read all the stories on the cracked cases from suncoast and not liking it, would rather drop in a bullet proof tranny and call it a day
