Overdrive Light Blinking
Ok so my 2002 F250 with 138k while pulling a 8k lb trailer through some hills generated the blinking light.......
Yeah so tomorrow we will see if I hear good or bad news from the dealer..... We pulled over once the light came on and the fluid level was good and it smelled good as well. The transmission guage was normal and my EGT's were never more than 1050 to 1100. The truck seemed to shift fine through the gears along with in and out of overdrive for the remaining 300 miles of my trip. So any guesses on what is the problem??? How often does a the trannie throw a code when it's just minor problem vs a major problem? Thanks Todd |

I'm pretty sure on the older trucks(early to mid 90s), this meant there was a torque converter problem. Mine is the same year as yours but has never done this so I'm not for sure.
