Trans temp..

Well yesterday i was doing some driving and looked over to my trans temp gauge and it was hovering around 180 which for driving around was new for me... so I got on our wonderful sight and looked up some info it said the average temp is 70 to 80 degrees above ambient temp.. Well today driving around I saw my temp slowly hit 200 then hang around there the temp out side today was 112 granite that in theory that would be ok being that is only 90 above ambient temp, but i see the only good alternitive would be to go to the 6.0 tranny cooler or is there more options i hear to stay away from the trucool.. oh by the way i had a full tank of fuel and towing nothing.. can anyone give me some help? And with basic knowledge how hard would it be to change my fluid if i buy one of these coolers? and where can I find a descent one for less than 400? If thats the only option?

yea. id be trying the 6.0 intercooler or the trucool.. i changed my filter today actually and it only took me 15min, its worth a shot..

112 is pretty warm..thats 44C and i know if it was that hot id want more protection too..

when its 80-90F i run at about 140-150..ivvvvvvve yet to see over 160 on the ole temp guage yet though..

Few questions for ya bud... How you like those PHP tunes? I am in the need for a pair or drivers side tow mirror and more but what do you have the trucool or the 6.0 cooler ?

neither..ive found a 6.0 trans cooler for 50$ might go pick that up tomorrow..

Love the PHP tunes will stand by them..just one thing is kinda pissing me off...100hp tune third gear when she shift falls flat on her face..i dont get it..foot into it or not..im hoping a reburn will fix it..

tow mirrors..GET the 08 ones..youll never go back, best tow mirrors i have ever seen or had!

Cool I've been looking at the php tunes for awhile.. what do those mirrors cost? And are they Hard to paint i wanna paint them white to match the truck...

you can get painted caps..but there complete plastic so im sure someone out there can paint em, cost for me was 100$ i fell upon that deal and couldnt resist

If you were not in Canada I'd see if you could grab me a pair... Yeah I found a 6.0 cooler on line but for 300 and mirrors for 500.. so i am looking ....

youll find a cooler for cheaper..find a good used one and just clean it out good before using it..

The mirrors are hard to find for the price i got them,i jsut managed to find someone that didnt know what they were worth..
