Installed TW chip...Trannie shifts odd

I just installed my TW chip the other day. Put it in and nothing...cleaned the terminals again and it worked. Really happy with everything. Now my only problem is that when taking off it seems to shift very odd...seems to go into 2nd and back to 1st then back to 2nd...Similar with 2nd to 3rd gear. once I get in overdrive its fine....

I took the computer out for the third time and cleaned everything once more.Put everything back in and it seemed to be a little better but still not great. Well the rain is here now so I can't do anything else until tomorrow.

Any thoughts or opinions would be great!

side note the trannie has been shifting perfect prior to the chip.

I've been having problems with mine ever since i got it re-burnt last month. Shifts funny, Economy setting make my truck stall out when hitting 3rd gear, and just all around wish i wouldn't have sent it in for a re-burn. I miss my old tunes

Anyways he told me to call him sometime after 3 pm mon-fri, I just haven't gotten around to doing it yet. You should probably try too....

I would try and clean it one more time with a fresh scotch brite pad or something similar. Try and stay away from cleaning it with solvents as damage can occur and make sure batteries are disconnected and keys are out of the ignition. I fried 2 chips and my computer not taking that precaution...

Alright thanks Ill give him a call tomorrow...it just makes me wonder...once i get on the interstate in overdrive i can turn it to whatever setting and its fine...just taking off is the only weird thing.

Ill definitely try a new scotch brite pad and no solvent this time...I have had the keys out and the batteries disconnected thank god lol

Your best bet would be to call him tomorrow after 3 o' clock. I myself doubt you have a connection/cleaning problem because if the chip wasn't installed properly...the truck just wouldn't start. Happened to me when i first got mine last summer.

Mine shifts real hard into 3 rd called said he'd try to fix it. It also smokes real bad when getting on it in daily
