remanufactured ford transmission

I have a e350 7.3 with a auto trans. When towing 9500 llbs I have very little when climbing mountains and tubo heat buildup when climbing moderate hills on freeways. I am thinking about replacing the trans. with a ford rebuilt with a heavy duty tourqe converter. My question is will a ford part #TRM 1660 trans work with my van, and any other suggestions would be helpful.

I have three words of advice when it comes to getting a Ford remanufactured transmission............


DON'T DO IT!

You will be sorry. Could be the worst place to get one. My truck ate several of them before I finally just ignored the "warranty" and went to a reputable shop and got one built. Never have I once regretted leaving 65,000 miles of warranty (trouble) behind.

You have a awesome van. Can you post some photos of your van and e350 7.3 with a auto trans.? So that I can give you a suggestion.

I think a ford part #TRM 1660 trans work with a van. I tried it and its working nice.

Well if you will ask me. It is good for your van to use that TRM 1660 trans in your van. I hope I can see some photos of it when you installed it.

What is the cost of it, for a bit more you could probably get a BTS..
