dumb question

I am sure this is a dumb question for some, and I though I knew more than what i do I guess.

What does it feel like when your TC locks up and doesnt?

Somthing strange has been going on with my truck.. feels like there is something banging on the underside of my truck.

Then the other day I drove the thing about 130 miles round trip then stopped and went into the store, when I came out started it up put it in reverse as soon as I put it into drive the OD light started flashing, i looked up at the temp it was sitting about 160 which was a little over outside temp. The tranny seemed to shift almost normal. When I got home I turned it off put it in reverse then drive and then othing, but the tranny temp was down to 100.

I have also noticed when WOT it doesnt want to shift from 3rd to 4th i either have too keep it it and it revs back and forth or left of the throttle timm it shifts then it is goo to go.

Any thoughts thanks in advance

When the tc locks up or engages, it just feels like a shift.

I mostly feel it when either at lower RPMs when kinda lugging a bit but not getting on it, and also when I am pulling up to a stop lights while foot is on the brake. Then once I stop it does it for a sec or so then goes away.

No it has never killed the engine. I noticed today at 25mph and 1100rpm it was doing it on a regular basis, not as loud but still there.
