i just boutgh my truck not that long ago its a 2000 f250 7.3l/4r100 i got 143000 miles on it and im looking at doing some trans work. i have a superchip cortex on it and mbrp cool duals. i no that the superchip up's the line pressure in the trans and im thinking about putting in a better valve body witch will also add pressure. I've been looking at bts, jon woods or a bd performance valve body. by putting in a new valve body and having the tuner will there be to much line pressure or will it be ok. i use the truck for towing about 12-14k once in a while and its a daily driver. i just dont want to go to crazy and blow up the trans. i just want to help make it last

Valve bodies do not raise line pressure on 4r100 tranny. I haven't ckd all programmers but super chip does raise line about 5 to 8lbs. Enough to help and not enough to hurt. If you add the transgo kits( trans must be removed), line goes up more. You'll start getting into hard/harsh shifts then.

Get a BTS VB and leave the shifting to Brian to adjust for your mods...other options are guess work. You don't want tuners to jack pressures.
