please help me tranny problems

I have a 2002 f250 7.3 diesel 4x4 with automatic transmission, i just got it rebuild at this local shop here in daytona beach florida , i went for a test drive and when i take off takes till 3000rpms to shift and shift hard but only in 1 and 2 gears, i check the fluid and is good and them the OD light start blinking if i give gas easy it would shift smoostly the jackass a the shop wont wanna check it it says is my truck that have problems now i am screw with over $2000 on it , anyone have an idea what can be the problem thanks

Tranny has to relearn shift patterns according to Ford. Mine did something similar after change out for a few shifts and then straightened out. If doesn't and shop won't stand behind their work then file complaint with BBB and a copy of that complaint to consumers division state attorney general

Yeah what he said and get yourself an ATS or BTS tranny

Mine did the same thing.All is good now.Give it a little time.If it still gives you trouble,make them stand behind there product.

Yup the computer is used to old loose clutches and has the pressure ramped way up. When it sees the shift is happening too fast it will drop the pressure a tiny bit for the next shift. It can take 100 cycles like this for it to get it right if it has good performance clutches in it.

but i drove 281 miles and still doing same i am going to put the scanner today and see what codes come up...the shop that rebuild it wont do anything for me i know the guy i got all the parts and i pay him cash for the labor

Did they do any shift mods or a shift kit? Sounds like they may have drilled an orifice out a bit and it's B/S that they won’t help you with it! If they drilled it you may be able to change the valve springs and/or valves to bring it back. That takes knowledge I don’t have since I have never done it, but if you want to fix it yourself these guys will have the parts and I think will walk you through it.
