Auto to ZF6 Swap
Here in the next few weeks I will be doing a Auto to ZF6 Swap.
Now b4 you start the "Why" its because a manual is the best thing for me. I don't race it or anything else like that. I drive it and tow a lot and have always said "Damn i wish i had a manual" So this is why I am doing this. I have all the parts for the swap lined up. David from DI just pulled a zf6 out of a truck and is selling me the tranny, fly wheel, clutch pedal and everything else to do the swap. Also we are trading PCM's so that wont be an issue. David is also getting me a nice 550hp clutch  I will be getting a floor hump out of a SD with a 6 speed for this swap also since the zf6 is a lot bigger then the 4r100 and the bigger floor hump is needed. I will be taking pictures and documenting this swap as it progresses. It will be a few weeks till i get all the parts and start this but I thought I would start a thread on it and if anyway has any questions or suggestions please throw them out there.

i only have one suggestion. do the swap in my pickup instead of yours.

This weekend I will be removing the front seats and pulling back the carpet to install the 6 speed floor hump. It is a little taller and already has the hole for the shifter.
I will be taking pictures.

did you finish your 6 speed swap? i just did my excursion about 2 weeks ago still trying to get it running right. love the 6 speed though

Subscribing, i wanna see this too cause i wanna put a ZF in my truck.
Ive heard from about 3 guys you can do the swap without changing the floor hump.

they are right about the floor hump but i did have to stretch the floor some with a large hammer to make some clearance.
