time for a new trannie
well it finally happened pullin a trailer the other day trying to get out into traffic. i stepped on it and when it shifted into 2nd there was a bang and no more go. something finally let go inside so i want some opinions on what would be my best option for replacement. i currently run an edge evo, but i want to upgrade to a dp tuner. i am hoping to spend around 2500. what would you recomend? thanks.

I would recommened a John Woods or BTS tranny and chances are you'll never have to worry about tranny failure again but those units run upwards of $3800. If thats out of your budget well some more tranny smart people will be here to awnser your question on what parts to get.

find a local transmission shop that knows how to build up the 4r100, might try local diesel performance shops as well. red eagle rebuild kit, and extra clutch bands. new valve body Etc. most shops will know little tricks of adding extra clutchs and "beefing up" your trans. but if you could afford it i would say BTS no one can come close to there transmissions.
