installed new filter" problem?
I changed the fluid and filter in my transmission. When i installed the new internal filter, i seated the new filter in the filler tube with orange rubber washer, but moved the filter to the side to seat it further upwards. Normally the filter is poistioned straight back or parallel to tranny pan, but by mistake i installed mine more to the side or angled as it allowed me to push the neck of the filter a little further up into the "tube" area.
Make sense? It has me wondering, the slanted pick up tube from the bottom of the filter is now about a 1/4"-3/8" raised from "stock" position facing the bottom of the pan. Does it matter or should I just drop the pan and move the internal filter back to the normal stock position? |
