on the EDO4 right, put it in drive then move to rewind, it does it in my dads 7.3, we thought it was because of the need for new filters and fluid, we did that and it helped the shifts but the soleniod body went out 2 weeks later and pulled his diablo and it ran a soleniod code for 2 and 3 on the rotondra. But my uncles 7.3 has 430,000 on a 99 and when it starts to make delays in reverse thats when he changes filters and fluid, and it fixes it everytime, oh and it could also be the metal tube that comes out the side of the tranny, i thing its for the tranny cooler and it has a spring device in it and i have seen them clogged before on a 5.4

You may want to speak with a psychiatrist. If you are hearing voices in reverse you have problems that we cant help with

Dave did not fix anything.

my truck takes a long time to go into reverse too. Hopefully the Transgo Tugger 2 kit that I am in the middle of installing will fix this along with maiking my tranny shift awesome. Only problem is that you have to take the tranny out to install all of the Tugger2's parts.

Course my tranny needed to come out for the damn Ford grey TC seal of leakage anyway.

Transgo says that the kit will cure the reverse delay.

If it happened right after the rebuild go back to the shop and make them fix it. If you have 40k miles on it change the filter and fluid. These electronic trans need to be done around 30k or 40k miles.

i think dave needs glasses and he should put down that fly swatter

and the voices bit....

ya my first though was fluid. or some shift part is now workin right. my tranny is on its last leg or thought it was and it shifts to reverse fine. i just hate the noise it makes from park to what ever if theres tension on the drive shaft from being parked on a incline. i use the brake to help prevent that but its annoyin.
