It is not the TTB (Twin Traction Beam) front axle is it?
That alone will make me not buy on of the 99-00 trucks. I am pretty sure it is a straight axle.
So if it is a Dana 50 front, are they pretty strong axles? i.e., could they handle 800 ftlbs and 40" tires without breaking ring and pinion? I know the 10.25 Sterling is ample. But the dana 50 is kinda scaring me.
The bigger turbo of the later 99's and 00's is definitely some good information.

All 99+ F250's have a straight axle. The Dana 50 will be able to handle 40" tires, you WILL have wheel bearing and Balljoint trouble though with that large of a tire. Actually anything over 35" and the wheel bearings go to crap. You can order a Dynatrac system that is on at least a 1 month backorder that will hold up to 40" tires. The ring and pinion on the D50 is pretty stout and the sterling 10.25 is as well. Many people use these axles under their jeeps when putting on 38"+ tires...
