Question Please read Truck's at shop

I have a 1996 with an E4OD with about 60k . It started leaking from the bell housing last week. Through looking on here I found out about the seal problems and that made sense. I did not have time to do it myself so I called the tranny shop and they said they could pull it out and reseal it. the ecp was also leaking which they replaced, and they said my torque converter needed replaced because when they put it on the trans and spun it it ground like bearings or something else. I went to pick up the truck today and about 3 miles after I noticed a noise. I pulled over but did not see anything, took it back and test drove with shop, of course noise was not as loud. He said drive it and see what happens, I left the shop and the noise was only getting worse so I turned back around and dropped it off again. They were gone so I'll call them in the morning. The noise almost sound like it would have to be in the torque converter and comes and goes. I know nothing about trannies, but the best I can describe it is like metal to metal grinding.

Please Help!

May very well be the torq converter is going bad. i would recommend replacing the tc with a triple disc converter.

I took it as if the tc is bad and needs a new one.

Maybe the shop does not have it all the way engaged. I have seen it happen once or twice.

More than likely, rubbing on the dust cover.
