I had the error codes checked, the relevant error code (among others) is P0743 Torque Converter Clutch System Electrical Failure So it appears that there is a problem in the solenoid pack. I'm going to replace it, I don't any more problems with the tranny. I've checked all the electrical connections and there good. |

it wasn't the ($300) solenoid pack that was the problem. The truck has a TC lock up switch that the previuos owner had in the truck. He disabled the switch, but didn't remove the wiring. There was a short to ground somewhere between the switch and where it was spliced into the harness. When we cut the wire where it spiced into the harness, the TC unlocked, and I have a driveable truck again!! |
