4R100 wont shift beyond 2nd!!!

Ive got a 2003 F250 7.3L with the 4R100 auto trans. About a week ago started not shifting beyond 2nd gear. Runs 1st, shifts flawless to 2nd, then runs all the way to redline. Truck is creeping up on 200K miles and not a real great time to be lookin into a replacement. Any help would be appreciated. Oh and the only time OD has flashed was when i tried running with OD manually turned via push button. Thanks a million.

Bring it somewhere to get it checked where they can hook it to a computer, if the pcm tells the tranny to shift and it doesnt well its inside the transmission, if not its probably the pcm, that is exactly what my brother in law truck just did last week-end.

Likely a bad solenoid in the valve body, but you’re on the right track.

Ebay is a good place to get the solenoid if you have time.
May as well drain the converter and cooler and get a complete fluid change out of it.
Clean the top of the tarns housing where they plug into the harness before you even pull the pan down.
Buy or make one of these filter clips:
Buy clip here. they also have all the other parts.
