will v10 trans work for 7.3?
I've been trying to find a trannie for my 2000 4x4 7.3 and i found a guy localy parting out a 01 excursion with a v10 in it but I don't know if they are the same please help me the v10 is 2wd also

Keep shopping friend, I believe the bell housing bolt pattern is different and I know the tail housing/output shaft from a 2X4 won’t work in a 4X4. You must take the Trans all the way down to swap the shaft so you would be ahead to rebuild what you have if you have it all apart.
