2nd gear?

i have an 02 7.3l 4x4,taking off easy 2nd gear slips really badly,if you mash on it from stopped, it takes off fine,could the computer chip(see my sig for mods) be doing this or am i going to be needing a new tranny?

I never heard of that chip..pull it and see what happens. Some chips have bad consequences when they mess with trans fluid pressures.

thanks for your response, i pulled the chip and the tranny shifted fine i think ill be removing it and putting in one of the switchable custom tuned chips,do you have any reccomendations?
