2nd trans in a year

1 year and 30,000 miles and my trans is out again. I have a programer, intake, x-wheel and straight piped. Does anyone have any info on stock vs. upgraded trannie's. I am not towing leavy loads but shouldn't a stock rebuild last more than this???????

What happened to your tranns when it went out both times how were u running it? What kind of mods do you got?

Should have lasted longer but your programmer doest have any thing for the transmisson. Like a custom burnt chip such as Matt@ Gear head performance and Swamps, Beans etc... I have put over 20,000 on the rebuilt ford tranns that was in before I got the truck the guy had towed a huge horse trailor on a 5th wheel. I had the DP Tuner on it and Jody had up the line presures to make it shift firmer and so on. Also I have upgraded the TC since I have owned it. I give it hell all the time. I have matts tunes in now with stage 1's being built so it will be intresting to see what it will hold. Matt's tunes are awsome though.

Some upgraded trannies like the BTS or the John Woods are very good.

Best trans out doesn't cost that much..BTS
Good tunes shouldn't kill a stock trans..in good shape, if its on its last legs then it will help kill it faster.
