RIP Tranny

My tranny SH@T the bed a couple nights ago. Just over a year since my engine died and 2 years since I bought the truck. Talk about bad JUJU. Part of me wants to call the D!CK dealer who sold me the truck go crazy about how the truck was presented for sale and what has happened since then but I know it won't help. (it was a dealer out of San Antonio and I live in MD) I'm so frustrated! My truck is sitting at the local ford dealer while I wait to hear back from my rep and the warranty company. I'm just hoping the aftermarket warranty I bought with the truck will stand up and help again especially since they already put out more than I put into the warranty to replace my engine.

Enough of that depressing crap. Help me out guys.

What are some things, anyone who has been through this would suggest, I keep in mind as I decide how to rebuild or replace my tranny?
I'd love to go straight for a BTS tranny and all that but that's out of my budget. Suncoast seems more financially reasonable for me if I have to buy the whole deal. Can anyone explain what may be some things that keep me from being able to do a rebuild vs. the replacement?

Thanks and any other advice is welcomed.
