yes, you can only get it from ford (way expensive), international (better priced), or EBAY (best price, but have to wait for it to be shipped)

So I was playing with the 10K mod the other day and noticed oil in my ICP connector (I didn't think there was anything wrong with that so I just carried on with my playing). Based on this thread I should consider my ICP bad or heading that way and start working on a replacement? (hate to waste money on a good sensor when I'm in need of gauges).

If there is oil in the ICP connector, It's a good idea to replace it with the ICP sensor.

The 10k & 5.6k mods are good as far as getting a little more pick up, but are baaaaaaaaaaaad for the ICP sensor. I speak from experience. It's nothing but trouble over time & ICP sensors ain't cheap, ebay or not.

Yeah it was fun to play around with but a short lived mod for me, i'm ordering my swamps tuned ts-chip today (if I can find that blasted 8MM socket so i can get my PCM code for him).

One thing I will say for the 10k mod... holy fuel economy. I just ran a 500 mile trip that i normally get ~17-18 mpg depending on wind direction and speed. With the 10k resistor in it looks like I got about 22-23 (waiting to fillup again so i can hand calc it).

Any things special about the ICP sensor replacement? just twist off and twist on?

The 10k mod varies from truck to truck. Some people get better results from the 5.6k, & I thought I heard other claims about lower ohm resistors(????). Sometimes they do increase MPGs. The bottom line is; it's no good for the ICP. I had a Banks Six-Gun(yeah-yeah, I know)which is pretty much a very expensive 10k mod & I was frying ICP sensors left & right. After I ditched the Six-Gun, I haven't had a problem with the ICP & my truck idles much better than it did. There's no special method of taking the ICP sensor off. Like you said, Matt, just unscrew it & reinstall the new one. Just make sure you use some electrical contact cleaner on the plug if it's soaked with oil & dry the plug itself as best as you can. Good luck with the TS chip!
