can you monitor anything with either one? if you can then watch rpm signal after it dies while cranking. should be about 200 rpm.

I have not check for codes when it will not start only after it starts running again

with some scanners you can watch things like rpm and icp and stuff like that.

if you have a scanner that can watch live data. you can watch rpm while cranking after it stalls and see if it's reading. That's the best way I know of.

means the ICP is going bad. might not be the problem right now but it WILL be later, they have them on EBAY for under $100 shipped

The ICP sensor would cause it to die out with no warning at all?

it could.... but im betting your stalling problem is the CPS, but you will have issues with the ICP if its not haveing issues now. it will cause a bad idle, and hard starts when hot.

Great thanks for the info just pulled the cps out and on the way to get yet another one, the ICP is that just a sensor?
