ether is trucks best friend

Hi guys, my 01 f-250 wont start unless its about 80 degrees without ether. i live in wyoming and have to use ether to start it everyday but i took it to washington a couple weeks ago and it started just fine. i didnt have to use ether once. any ideas on what may cause my new found problem. thank you.

01 f250 powerstroke, 4in straight pipe, autometer boost gauge, isspro pyro,edge evolution 2,foil delete,flywheel delete... that one sucks!!!!!

I would find someone with a scanner that can read the injection pressure (ICP pres.) parameter. Sometimes blown injector O-rings will cause a long start because the pressure is bypassing the O-rings. Also you should check the glow plugs and relay. The valve cover gasket connectors can be used to check resistance on each glow plug. I don't remember which pins are which glow plugs but by checking these pins resistance with ground can show a bad glow plug. If they show infinite resistance they are bad. Hope this helps.

thank you aj. ive had this on here for a couple months and no one replied untill i bumped it again. thank you for the help i greatly appreciate it.
