EBPV problems
My EBPV is sticking. When it is cold, sometimes even in the 40's, the valve kicks on and will not disengage no matter how hard I press on the throttle. It just billows black smoke, makes a bunch of noise, and goes 5mph. I have to stop, put the truck in neutral and rev the motor a bunch of times until it releases. This usually only happens when I start it in the morning. I am sure my neighbors down the street love when I pull over and start revving my truck outside their house in the morning. What do you think is going on?

Disconnect it and you will be ok.
Have you tried to hit the brake to disengage the ebpv. |

I'll unplug it.
I tried hitting the brake as well as putting the throttle on the floor. The only thing that ever did for me is make the check engine light come on. Then it would stay on for a couple weeks and eventually go off. |
