1999 Dipstick Length/Number Q?

Hey, I have heard a lot of stories about people having the wrong dipsticks in their trucks, and I wanted to make sure I had the right one because I found the head of an oil dipstick lost down in the engine so I don't know if the whole thing was replaced or what. Does anyone know what the correct part number and or length is supposed to be from the bottom of the "T" handle to the end? Thanks........
