Runs rough till warms up, need help!

I got a 2000 Powerstroke with 125k on the clock with a Tony chip, intake, exhaust. It surges and runs rough till it warms up fully. Its not really bad but every minute or two it surges and runs rough then goes back to running fine. It does it in every program so I dont think its the chip? Any help would be appreciated!

hey, well the only thing I can think of would be the governor or perhaps whatever the idle speed is set on.....I don't think it would be the chip either, but maybe your idler is set on too low a speed causing it to be rough on start-up.

I would say it could be the fuel filter because mine had similar symptoms, it even shut off going down the road, then once we got it back to the house, it was really rough sounding....but once we changed the filter it was fine....I think it just sucked up some gunk.

Ya I was thinking about I had a bad batch of fuel because I never let the tank get under a half of tank and usually only use 10 gallons of fuel before I put money in again. I also use many different stations so Im thinking I picked up a bad batch of fuel and the fuel filter got clogged. Also I changed the filter about 2500 miles ago.
