Does anybody that comes on here know anything about Diesels??!!! I need some help!

I am using three quarts of oil every three hundred miles! I don't know what to do! A guy thinks the dipstick may have something to do with it. If it wasn't reading right, then I would be overfilling it which would be letting it go through the blow by.....but, there isn't any leak at all when I am on the road or parked! I could park it in a brand new white piece of cement after running it all day and there wouldn't be any oil that drips at all. I am stumped......please if you have any ideas....I need to hear them!

Sounds like injector o-rings. sounds like your using your oil as fuel.

^^^ according to dave at swamps. That doesnt happen.

Whether swamps says it happens or not the oil is going somewhere and it sure sounds like it's going out the exhaust.

pull the fuel filter...is the fuel black? sounds like injector orings...

pull ia intercooler boot off, see how much oil is in it. Could be blow by, into the intake thru the ccv.


And the attitude can be left behind. Yes, waiting on an answer can be frustrating... someone will chime in.

I second the orings. I burned 6 quarts in a week till it died.


And that attitude really sucks dude. Check it at the door man. You came to us for help; not the other way around.

If you dont see any visible leaks my bet would also be injector o rings. By the way it is a holiday weekend. It can take a little while before a post is answered. While I understand your frustration because your truck is down. There are better ways to approach it

look guys......this was not my first posting about this issue! I have had a post up several months ago that still NO ONE HAS REPLIED TO! Look what happened as soon as someone realized that someone really did need help. I got several replies. I didn't know what else to say to get help! Sorry for sounding rude, I just needed some others' opinions. Thank you all very much who replied. This has been great getting to hear some of your ideas! And FYI I have decided to stay here!
