grey diesel smoke????

is grey diesel smoke bad when the engine is warmed up with the chip on 140hp tune the grey smoke comes and goes usually it smokes thick black but grey i dunno coolant hasant gone down oil hasant gone down that much oil does have 3000miles on it so it has used a little jus wondering if this is a concern thanks guys

Well when u mix black with white you make the color gray? As long as all your vital fluids are fine.... I dont see what would make it gray though? Unless you have a cylinder not burning the fuel in that case you'd have smoke at an idle and a miss but obviously you dont have that

ya i understand that it does have a bad ipr i dont no if that wood have anything to do with it and it doesent miss or smoke at idle but the turbo is going bad its got a 1/2 inch sideplay so and all injectors seems to be hitting

my truck dont realy smoke black its kinda grey all the time less its cold out side. I always just figured it was cuz my puny injectors dont dump enough fuel for it to run rich enough to be black. technicly grey smoke means ur burning the fuel better than if it where black so if it where any darker all youd be doing is wasting fuel.

it only does it on the 140 hp setting and only if u really get into the throttle and latley its been thick black not grey maybe i got a bad batch of fuel i did get ****ty holiday fuel so who knows and i have a stock setting on my chip and it doesent do it in any setting other than 140 so

maybe you put some bio mix in there? bio dont smoke much.

all fuel in mn is 2% mix and that has been a mandate sense 2006 so i dnt think that is it hasant been doin it latley i think it was bad fuel maybe
