Thanks! got your reply immediately and fixed the problem, was the harness, purrs like a kitten again!
Took about 3 hours, 1 hour just to get the rusted bolt holding the dipstick tube, have to buy a new $75 dipstick tube!! |

did you install dipstick on a VAN?

Dipstick tube nightmare
Well I got the tube in after about 8 hours of struggle.
I have been working on my own vehicles for 25 years and can assure you installing a dipstick tube in a E450 is the worst experience of my life. Got it in the first time in about 3 hours then the dipstick itself was jammed due to a bad angle/slight kink in the tube. Had to pull it out again and straighten it and finally got it in a second time and it is functional. Anyway just thought I would tell anyone to AVOID breaking your dipstick tube especially on an Econoline at all costs. |
