Truck Loping bad without mod
I have a 2000 7.3 that was running fine with an edge juice with attitude and a TS 6 pos on it. i never turned the edge on only used it for gauges, but i decided to take it off and give to a friend of mine. when i took it off my truck freaked out on me. THe SES light came on, it lopes really bad, and although it only happened once i was coming to a stop sign and the truck shut off. I was thinking either the CPS went bad, again, or my EBPV is clogged agian? but its werid it did it only after i took the chip off...
 any ideas? thanks guys

check for codes if it does it again.that is were i would start.

oh ya i forgot i went to checkers and tried to pull codes but the scanner said there were no codes...

unplug the ts chip from the pcm , unhook the batteries to make sure everything is shut down for 10 minutes or so , reconnect the ts chip maing sure a good connection is made , then reconnect batteries , and see if that makes a difference , if not , gonna have to get it on a good scanner to see what is out of spec

Does the edge hook to the ICP In any way?

ya the ICP is on the top of the engine towards the front on the right side?

I am guessing you're ICP is bad. I had similar problems and did the 10k and fixed it. I replaced the ICP and no problems. It also thew no codes unless it was acting up. When acting up it would trigger a CEL then go away. The edge hooking to the ICP is similar to the 10k which overrides the ICP. So by unhooking the Edge it is allowing you're ICP to actually do its job again. Again this is a guess and it is not good and gets expensive to replace parts such as i do sometimes. BTW my truck was scanned by a diesel tech with a SnapOo scanner and could not figure out the ICP was bad.

ya i had the ICP in the back of my head but im really hoping its not that. THe last time i had to replace it my HPOP went out cause apparently a good ICP overworked it. SO im a little afraid to replace that again lol
