Boost!!!??

Ok so my 03 7.3 stock except for DIY intake is showing 15 to 16 lbs of boost at WOT. IS this right????????? I really have nothing to compare it too as my 2000 had exhaust, intake, TW chip etc. and I was running just under 30.


If this IS low for a stock truck,,, HOW do you check for leaks, i know uppipes and boots but HOW do you check for those leaks??????????

so the stuff in yoiur sig is not on this current truck right? if your running stock those numbers are normal...

if you look behind your turbo at the up pipes where it connects to your turbo you can check for leaks... if you see soot then you got a leak.... for boost leak you need to make or buy a leak detector... Bob at dieselsite makes a nice unit that is not that expensive...

yea the stuff in my sig is on my truck now,,,gauges,diy intake, zoodad and foil delete thats it... will soon be addin exhaust and just sent my chip to Tony today for a reburn so its NOT on there now. Should it be 15 to 16 with just the zoodad and intake??????

k... yah 15-16 is about normal for a non tuned truck... once you have the TW chip on their you will easily see 25psi+
