Need another Ford Powerstroke - Advice?

so, long story, but I need to buy another truck. A Ford preferably.
I am considering any Ford from 2000 to about 2005. So, that means either a 7.3 or a 6.0. I almost hate to ask but what should I look for? what should I avoid? I sure loved my 2000. But a quieter, more powerful truck would be nice too. However, I don't want a POS. I sure appreciate any advice. what issues should I look for on a higher mileage truck?

if you never owned a 6.0 before, i think you will love one. i owned both and will not go back to a 7.3 just cause the 6.0 has alot more power, better tranny, and if you get a 04 or 05 thats when they changed to the coils up front. a way better ride. my advice would be stay away from the 03 6.0 cause its hit or miss with that year. the 05 is suppose to be a strong motor. just watch out for coolant stains around the degras bottle and if you can check the shaft play on the turbo, do it.

thanks for the advice. My ol 7.3 was pretty spunky but the 6.0L seems even spunkier. I will keep my eyes open for a clean '04 or '05 with low miles and get a full inspection before pulling the trigger.
