oil drip from exhaust pipe

ok guys i am a heavy truck diesel mechanic but i am limited on the 7.3L. I replaced a #7 injector on a 2000 model. After running contribution test it said #7 was bad. Replacement seemd very straight foward as on the big trucks. purged oil through GP holes and drained fuel rails. On start however it still misses and after runing about 10 minuts hoping it would clear up i noticed a small amount of oil dripping from tailpipe. Could this be residual from replacement and does it take quite awhile for miss to clear up and air to be removed from fuel system. Please advice, Boss needs his truck

Jeff
