I have gotten the SES light to pop on a few times in the last few days. When I read the codes it gives me the P1316 idm code. So I did the KOEO test and buzz test with my AE and it gives me P1274 high to low side open on cylinder #4. Now the truck runs fine. The only symptom is it has died a few times when stoped in gear and as soon as I touched the accelerater it died. The truck started again as normal and runs fine. Is this a UVCH issue or a IDM going bad ???

pull the drivers side valve cover off and reconect the harness , its loose underneath the valve cover , clear the codes and drive it , cutting off problem may be somethig else , but address one issue at at a time

I am about to go pull the valve cover here in a few minutes. Hopefully it's just a loose connection on the UVCH. What could cause it to die like it does ???

many things can make it die , fixing the harness may fix the problem

Well I pulled the valve cover and check the harness and all is ok. Put it all back together, cleared the codes and took it for a test drive. It didn't die on me but when I got back I pulled these codes: P1316 IDM Codes Detected, P0743 Torque Converter Clutch Electrical and a few others set off by my chip. When I performed the KOEO it came up with the P1274 Cylinder #4 High to low side open.

I am stumped here. What else can I do ???

dig depet into the wiring for cyl. 4 , but dont buy a idm thats not the problem, may have torque converter problem , thats why its stalling the engine

The TC code could be what's causing it do die. It may be trying to lock up when you touch the throttle.

That's a possibility but it has also died a couple of times just idling in Park. Forgot to mention that earlier.
