Cold/No start problem
So I have an 01 f550 with 340,000 km on it
On a cold start it is near impossible (takes about 10 attempts), even in warm 70 degree weather If I have it plugged in it will start no problem but other than that it is very difficult. when it does start it runs rough and with zero power but once it warms up it runs great as it should There are no ses codes I have changed the gp relay but not the gp's There is a bit of smoke when it starts but not a massive amount and it seems more black than white Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated |

To me it sounds like a glow plug issue. Maybe someone else can chime in on how to test them.

I have the same problem. Havent done glow plugs yet.
Im changing out the IPR (injector pressure regulator) in a few weeks. I was told that might be the culprit. will just have to see. |
