Exclamation EGTS Too High?

I have a Edge Juice/Attitude and i think i have high egts for no more than what the chip is. At wide open throttle i can experience 1250+ in a short amount of time. Really the only stage that i cant get high egts in are stage 1 and stage 2, everything else i get 1250+. I thought that i might have a boost leak so i changed out all of the boots. No change. What else could be going wrong? I have noticed that i might have a small exhaust leak but would that cause egts to be high? and if it helps my egt probe is mounted in the driver side manifold. any help would be great.

I would say your up pipes are leaking... a "small" exhaust leak on the up pipes can make HUGE differances and loss of power/boost and higher EGT's.

did you check the boots under your intake spider? I had a boost leak and I checked all mine and found nothing. Staring at my truck i noticed one of the boots underneath had slid down a little for whatever reason. I put it back on properly and got much lower egts and 4 psi more.

of up pipes? i might get me a set of these: 1999.5-03 Ford 7.3L (Super Duty / Excursion) Upgraded Turbo Feed Tubes - FORD1837872C93

gonna have them coated just to see if it really makes that much of a diff....

also i would get that edge juice off of their as soon as you can.. it does nothing for your transmission and will eventually blow it
